When open-cut isn’t an option

Bore under the lot, keep the site open

Fuel stations and travel centers can’t afford torn-up drive lanes or closed pumps. Directional boring gets power, communications and conduit where they need to go with far less disruption than trenching.

  • Dispensers and canopies power and communications conduit to the fuel island and canopy.
  • Signage and lighting conduit to pylon signs, lot lighting and building services.
  • EV chargers conduit runs for new charging stalls on an existing lot.
  • Under live lots crossings under drive lanes, aprons and pavement without closing the site.

Working on an active site

Around live operations and fuel systems

An operating station has customers, deliveries and buried fuel systems. We plan the bore around all three.

Around active operations

We schedule and stage the work so customers and deliveries keep moving, with work zones set up to suit the site.

Around fuel systems

We locate and verify existing underground lines and fuel systems before the bore, so the path stays clear of them.

Owner site rules

We coordinate with the owner and operator and follow their site rules, permits and work windows.

How a station job runs

From walk-through to close-out

Walk the site

Review the plan, the route, existing utilities and the owner’s site rules.

Locate and verify

Utility locates and potholing to confirm what is underground before we bore.

Bore and install

Conduit installed under the lot and drive lanes, with the work zone secured.

Restore and hand over

Site restored, records handed over and the lot back in full use.
